The Johnson Atelier — incredible partners to the art world, based just outside of New York City — were seeking an updated, flexible and contemporary identity for them to use moving forward following the passing of their founder, the American artist and sculptor, Seward Johnson.

Working with Georgia Wright, we developed a coherent brand strategy and identity to unify this multifaceted group that will hopefully serve them well in the decades to come.

The two O’s in Johnson became a wonderful metaphor for the art that the group helps to create and the space that it leaves behind.
